Summer is already come and gone. Can you believe it? Where has time gone? It feels like a month and a half ago that winter semester got over. What have I done with summer? It was supposed to be a productive one, more productive than what it was at least. I kept busy but not as much as I was hoping for:
--First off, I wanted to get a summer job somewhere while I was home. The minute I moved back to Ogden (and before that) I filled out applications to what felt like every place hiring in the Ogden-to-Riverdale area. I got lucky and got a couple interviews; but every time I told them I don't work Sundays and I was only here for the summer their vibes changed and....nothing ever got back to me. It sucked because I wanted to work hard and save that money for when school started again but...alas, it just didn't work out. Luckily, father loves me and let me work at his office every so often which was nice.
--Second, living in Utah means lots of farewells! I knew at least one going on almost every week this summer, and I went to most of them, too. Just from the boys I know, I definitely know the Gospel is being preached throughout all the world and it's awesome! From all my guys friends I know, it's crazy to think of how many places I know a missionary: Hungary, England, AZ, VA, Brazil, Uruguay, CA(tons got called here), Mexico(same here), Hong Kong, Germany, MS, TN, Albania, Nicaragua, MD, MN, South Africa, Chile, Dominican Republic, Croatia, Korea!, MO, Italia, FL, Japan, CO, UT!, Russia, Peru, NC, SC, Singapore, KY, Czech Republic, and that's all I can think of for now. And some of those have multiple people I know! Isn't that crazy but cool?! To think they're all out there preaching the Gospel right now! I'm proud of my friends...going back on track, so after the semester was over, the summer was full of farewells and it was nice to see friends and familiar faces almost every week and to talk to them over the summer.
--Third, after realizing that I wouldn't be able to get a job for the summer, I really wanted to plan a road trip somewhere. One idea was Arizona, but planning never even happened and so it died out.
--Fourth, I probably should've studied a lot over the summer... :/ woops. I think that sums it all up.
--Fifth, I got a membership to the Club to exercise and do Zumba (which I LOVE!) at the end of June. It was nice going to the gym and being super active again! I was hoping to shave some lbs. off but I don't think it happened...I think I'm slowly getting there though! Here's to hoping I'll have time to hit the gym back in Provo...
--Sixth, I hung out with my friends a lot!! I love them a lot. For the first part of summer, we'd hang out almost every day and called it "party part __" and I think we got to like....15? Literally. It was awesome. But then that died out and hanging out with the girls just happened a lot (our guy friends are all gone remember). Off The Wall (OTW) was the best!!! Gave me something to do on Friday nights. That comedy improv is hilarious, and I love the guys who play in it. It's pretty cool that through OTW I know them and they know me. :D
--Seventh, the fam and I went to Maui!!! The best, loved it. 'nuff said.
--Eighth, of all this, the things I did the most were play the piano and read. A lot. It was great. I'm going to miss it all back in Provo.
I think that's all. Only a week until school starts now. :/ Don't know if I'm ready, I still have to get ready to move! Hope everyone else had a lovely summer, I definitely enjoyed mine.
Peace and love peeps. That's the life of me.
