Another Thing I Love

I just posted about loving my job, and now I'm going to post about another thing I love to do and will be putting it on hold for my mission...

BYU HIP HOP (or what was formerly called Club Style back in the day...)! I love dancing, any kind is good with me. I'm pretty sure I've blogged already about dancing and all, but just to reiterate: I love to dance. And hip hop is a type of dancing that I've really come to enjoy and love just as much as the other kinds of dancing. And just this past Saturday we had our end-of-the-year showcase! It was a really great show, and I'm really proud of how it all turned out! I also enjoyed being involved in it - dancing in it, designing the flyers we handed out, and designing those shirts you see in this picture ^^^ Go me, eh? I also designed the jackets we had this year as well. Cool! 

I love the friends I've made in hip hop and the times we've had both in club and out of it. Being involved in college has been really great in that I get to represent my school and I can continue to do stuff that I like to do! 

It was great being in hip hop. I can't wait to come back to dancing in general after the mission. Ballroom, hip hop, contemporary, jazz, etc... they're all so great! I never thought I would have a strong passion for dancing, but I do! 

Check us out on youtube! And for those who are students at BYU, come join hip hop next fall! We take all levels of dancers and teach a new dance every week. The dances are for all levels, and they're really fun! 

Swagga of a College Kid~

I just love dancing. It's such a fun thing and it's so stress relieving. Oh and it's a good workout! Any type of dancing is what I love. I've learned jazz dance, some contemporary, learning ballroom/social dancing, and hip hop. Hip hop is what I want to elaborate though. It's probably my favorite out of them all. It's fun to just bust a move and be able to use the moves you learn in a freestyle way. With that being said, I'm in BYU's hip hop club now. Boy is it the best thing ever. It's an hour and a half to just dance and have fun with other people. And most of the presidency are my friends, which helps me be in the in's on everything; it's pretty great haha. We have a couple of performances coming up and then our showcase at the end of March, so that should be interesting. Anyway, so a few weeks before last semester ended, some of us got together and we made a music video!! aka we just messed around on campus :P the bloopers end is great, Michael likes to mess around like that randomly. But I feel pretty cool for being part of this now! I wish I had started last year, but I'm glad I'm in it now. 


Anyway, check this out (Link is right below)! This is the final product of our music video. It's pretty random, but we had a lot of fun doing this and we all love to dance. We've got the swagga of a college kid. It's in our blood.

Halloween 2011!!

Halloween was pretty good! I love the fact that I didn't have to spend any money on my costume this year. I decided to dress up as a football player because I actually have football clothes from my junior high school (no I didn't play, my friend did; that's a different story). Anyway, so the weekend of Halloween was pretty mellow, we went to a dance party on Saturday night, but other than that, Katie and I (literally) sat at home ha! But it was pretty relaxing. On Halloween, we had a ward party; it was alright, but they didn't do a dance party. Apparently it didn't work out so well (thanks to Riley for telling me what's up), but we made it happen. It was fun just hanging out with the ward! 
This ward has been great! Everyone is so friendly and everyone gets along with everyone. I'm sad that the semester is feeling like it's going by so fast though. But anyway, Halloween, good stuff! 
People watching is the best on campus during Halloween. I loved seeing the different costumes and the different things people did on campus because of their costumes. I'm really glad I saw Gandalf the White! Woo!

I just have one thing to tell you all....


Our ward talent show isn't until the end of the semester (Dec 9 to be specific), but we already have our idea on what we want to do for it...and we've started working on it already.


Kaite and I learned the shuffle dance in the "Party Rock Anthem" song by LMFAO. You know, when you watch the music video, there's the break after it says "Everyday I'm shufflin" and they do that choreographed number? Yeah, we learned how to do it. And we're working on the rest of the song.


Let's just say, this is going to be legit.
