Never Say Never!

I just want to say that I'm proud to be a Justin Bieber fan. So many people don't like him and think he sounds like a girl, looks like a girl, etc. But! he is just the opposite of that! And he's not a little boy people!! He's 16! You can't hate on his age. Willow Smith is, what, 10? Taylor Swift started when she was 17. Taylor Lautner is 18. (By the way, just to clarify, I'm a fan of those 3 as well, not hatin' on them). And he has come so far in his music career. He's one of those awesome people who started out on Youtube. You can't hate on someone who started like that. And personally I love his songs! I could listen to them all day.

And so, me being a Justin Bieber fan, I am so excited for his movie to come out - Never Say Never!! Haters can hate; you're the ones missing out on the whole thing. For real though, if we all just go for whatever we wanted to, as hard as Justin Bieber has worked for his music career, then we could all have a movie about our accomplishments as well, I'm sure. Point being, I plan on watching this movie, hopefully midnight showing with Shel in Ogden. That weekend is just crazy right now so I have no clue what will happen.

Never say never, people!! Set your heart to something you want to do and go for it! That's essentially what this is all about. Going for your dreams. I think it's a pretty great message. For all you haters out there, I really wish you weren't haters. Give his music a chance! You'll love it I'm sure! How can you not?

I guess that's all I have to say. Oh, and since I mentioned him, I'm definitely a fan of Taylor Lautner as well. My dream is to meet him. As for JB....

Dear Justin Bieber,
I hope you read this one day and smile to know that you have, yet, another fan that loves your music. I even follow you on Twitter! I hope I can meet you someday!! And your charity to hospitals and all is such a great act. Way to be. Don't let haters phase you. Please keep singing and making awesome music. If it can happen one day, come to Utah! So I have a better chance at being able to meet you!
Love, Yunnie.

That's the life of me.

Love me, love me
Say that you love me
Fool me, fool me
Oh how you do me
 Kiss me, kiss me
Say that you miss me
Tell what I wanna hear
Tell me you love me~

How to Talk to Girls~

Well, let me clear this up that this book is definitely not for me. I actually was told about it by my roommate and we all decided to read it to see what it says....because it was written by a 9 year old. No lie. Pretty crazy, eh? It was a pretty interesting read, if I do say so myself. I wonder if guys will read this ever and try it all out. Taking advice from a 9 year old....wonderful....haha!

Ok, I feel like I should break this up into some pieces to get my opinion out there. The first part is saying that life is hard, move on, only go for one girl, etc etc. Then it goes into a chapter called "crushes". The first page of it made me laugh. It has a "tip" that says "to get a girl to like you, talk to her and get to know her." This is in reference to if you already like that girl. Um.....wouldn't you know things about her if you had a crush on her? I don't know how I feel about this tip....it makes sense for sure, but....I think you need to know her before you start to like her, before you start working on her liking you. But like I said, this was written by a 9 year old...

Another thing it says, "pretty girls are like cars that need a lot of oil". Hahaha! It defines what a pretty girl is in the book. Debatable?  And, take that phrase how you wish. If you want to know the context of it in the book, then you should check it out ha.

It also says to boys to not be a show-off. You want to show the girl you have skills, but you don't want to overdo it so the girl thinks you're just self-conceited. So true. What girl likes a boy who can't stop standing in front of mirror? I sure don't. Take this one definitely into heart boys; show what skills you have, but don't act like you're the most amazing person ever. Let the girls decide on that.

I have nothing to say about this, but it's in the book and I thought it was hilarious. Remember this is written by a 9 year old! It says that a way to talk to girls is to get their phone number (if your mom lets you call girls). Hahaha! So funny.....needing to ask permission to call a girl. Oh the elementary days...

Anyway, the chapter about talking to girls is pretty good. Boys, if you want a girl to like you, you really do need to take the effort to make conversation with them. If she doesn't talk much then she either thinks the conversation is boring or she's not interested in you. And it's totally fine if she's not! Move on. This chapter actually has some good tips for you boys. But point is, keep the conversation going if you want to talk to her!! Especially if she's not the type to do all the talking.

Next part is a good one. It says to give the girl gifts. Find out things she likes beforehand and then buy her one of those. It doesn't even have to be big. Find out things from her friends so she doesn't know what's up. Or.....buy flowers!!! Even one is fine. Man I would love to get flowers sometime. That'd be nice. I think this is a major plus for a guy. For real, it doesn't have to be anything big, just as long as the girl knows you were thinking of her. And if it's something she likes, then she knows that you know her, another plus!!! Take that one into consideration haha.

That's pretty much the end of the book. The last chapter says to not cheer in front of the girl when you "succeed" in winning her. And don't brag, or else you have to start all over again. When you have a girl, and you like each other, don't be looking for other girls. That's just a big no. If you're going to do that, then don't go through all this trouble only to ditch the chick.

I feel like I'm giving tips to boys. Well, I guess that's what this is, since I'm talking about the book How to Talk to Girls. I must give credit to this book for sure. So, this blog was based on the book called,
How to Talk to Girls by Alec Greven. Published by HarperCollins. Available at pretty much any book store, I'm sure. Just google it and you'll be good I'm sure. Great stuff this 9 year old wrote.

Anyway, I must also add that the things from the book are, well, from the book, and what I have put in this blog is solely my own opinion and views on this book and the advice it gives. I'm not forcing it upon you, the reader, but just voicing it out there. I believe that's all in the life of me!

Food For Thought

^Punny title! Because it's about chocolate...sorta^

So I just read these two quotes on twitter (yes, I do love to tweet, thank you). Let me just first clarify that I'm not depressed or anything! I just liked them so I wanted to post them up here.

Ok first one:
"TEARS are WORDS the HEART can't express."
I think that can sometimes be so true. I mean, when do we usually cry? When we're sad, or super happy, or full of anger, etc. right? Sometimes words really can't describe things and that's when tears can come in. I liked that quote. I'm sure loads of you have heard of it, but still :)

Second one:
"All you need is LOVE. But a little CHOCOLATE now and then doesn't hurt."
Soooo true!! :D haha. I think girls would agree with this more than guys would. But really, at least for us girls, when we're sad or anything, most of the time we just binge in chocolate and totally regret it later.....so technically it can hurt sometimes, but chocolate really just makes people happier. I think there's something in chocolate that actually really makes you feel better. Like how turkey has that chemical that makes you feel tired? Like that...and they even use it in Harry Potter when the dementors come to attack. It all makes sense. If you don't have love then all you need is chocolate :)

I have another one to add:
"What are men to rocks and mountains?"
From Pride and Prejudice. Good book, and movie. Take that quote as you wish. I actually put this on facebook and only boys commented on it hahaha. Funny.....yup.

So there's food for thought~ Over and out.

.2.0.1.1.

^There's me jumping for joy!!^

Man oh man, January hasn't even ended and this year has already been pretty epic!!! I mean, I haven't exactly done anything new or different....although I did dye my hair. But besides that, I've just been studying and doing homework like crazy!!!! Physics and Calculus 2.....i think my schedule consists of just that....let me check....yup.

It's been warming up very slowly (but surely) already, I don't know how I feel about that. It's too early to start spring :( Spring is supposed to come in like, beginning of April at least. I need to go skiing a lot more than what I've already gone. College is running my life!! But even if I don't go skiing, I would like a winter please!!!

So a pretty epic adventure I have had so far this year was taking my roommates home with me to O-town!! (Ogden). It was super great and we had fun!! We got there Friday night and just hung out and watched SALT (definitely not a fan of that). Then I showed them around Ogden (for what Ogden has to offer) by going to the Solomon Center (aka the Junction), the temple grounds, Union Station, and the mall! Then we went over to Gibby's house and hung out there for a while. Oh man that was interesting, but great. :) Pretty sure I loved our roommate "photoshoot" at Union Station....honestly, who doesn't get a bunch of pictures when you're there??

So there are boys left and right of me getting mission calls to all over the world! It makes me super excited for them, to be able to go out there and do what they're supposed to do. And they're lucky because they don't need to worry about housing or anything like that for the next two years. Jealous much? :(

And, best of all, I have made a new goal to fit into some pants that I bought. They are my goal. I like those jeans so I want to fit in them and I will make sure I do. So I decided to start swimming again....which I haven't done for a year. And by that I mean I haven't swam laps in a year (of course I've been in a pool much more recently than that). My first day was Wednesday.....I think I almost died. Luckily I decided to stop after about 40 minutes because there were a ton of people after that, and I was dying. Pain!!!!....is only in the mind.... ("Inception")
^Michael Phelps!!!^^can't wait to be back in shape to fly again~^

Katie, Sara, and I went around yesterday to look at off-campus housing and I've picked a place!! Park Place, about a block away from campus, super excited. Katie and I plan on rooming together which should turn out interesting haha. I can't believe it's already time to look for those things and get ready for next year. Fresh(wo)man no more!! :D

And now it's the weekend and I'm ready for it for sure. Wes's birthday is tomorrow!! Wes+Me+Cafe Rio = good time!! And I get to see my parents and sister tomorrow. Yay! It'll be a good weekend I can tell :) And for now, everyone have a safe fun weekend! This is the life of me.

More pictures because I edited them and I love pictures!! :D
