Merry Christmas!!!

It's been a wonderful Christmas if I do say so myself. Spending time with the family and just relaxing at home is always the best. The only thing that's not great about this winter is the fact that there's no snow down here. :( There's plenty in the mountains (which I'm so happy about...now I just need to go skiing), but down here, where all our houses are, it's quite bare....and green.

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.....Just like the one
s I used to know....where the tree tops glistened and children listened To hear sleigh bells in the snow.....
(yes, I'm aware that the lyrics to the original song are not in past tense in the second phrase.)

BIG NEWS!!! Ok, so anyone who reads what I'm about to say is going to think I'm crazy....and weird. But to me it's amazing!!! So I follow famous people on Twitter. Who doesn't? And James and Oliver Phelps are two people I follow (they play Fred and George Weasley, respectively). So last night, I tweeted that I would have the best Christmas ever if either (or both) of them would reply back to me.....JAMES PHELPS REPLIED!!!! :D Oh man oh man, if you only knew how much I freaked out inside. Poor guy though, gets so many of those from his fans....but I'm happy. I've been hoping someone would reply to one of my tweets, or retweet it, and James Phelps did!! Sooo happy!! :) :) :)

Look at those good lookin' men ha! From left --> right: Tom Felton (Drac
o Malfoy), Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom), James Phelps (Fred Weasley), and Oliver Phelps (George Weasley). It would be such a dream come true if I could ever meet any of them. I can always hope!

I'm also more of a fan for James Phelps. Well not "more of a fan," I just fancy him more. Oh yes. An average person may think "how can you tell the difference between the two? And they're the same, why do you like James more?" Yet, for the true Harry Potter and Phelps twins fans, you can tell the difference and they do have their differences.
Just because they're twins doesn't mean they're the same...Anyway, once you can spot the differences between the two, it's really not that hard to distinguish who is whom.
We'll meet each other someday James...

Anyway, this break overall has been great. I got to see my friends and just relax and now worry about school. Yay! Oh, and I've been reading books that I haven't read because I know I won't get the time to read them once school starts again.

I (finally) finished Life of Pi, which was actually better than I thought it would be. Still debating what story to believe in the end...ha. And then Sundays at Tiffany's was quite interesting, too. Not to shabby.

Back to Christmas though!!! My parents rock, they got me Harry Potter Legos, clothes, money, and...... a TELESCOPE!!! Ah!! So super excited!! It ha
s a computer programmed in it so it can move by itself if you want it, and you can see Saturn with it! I have yet tried that, but I did see the moon last night!! All the craters and marias....oh man oh man. Call me a nerd, but it's the best present ev.er.
To Saturn we go!!

Now, I'm hoping it will snow. A lot. And that I can go skiing. I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays!! Remember the true meaning of CHRISTmas. Were it not for Jesus, who was born of Mary, the Atonement could not happen. Let us all remember that it is better to give than receive! Service is always the best way to make oneself happy!! Have a merry Christmas and all other holidays you may celebrate in your home!!! :)

The SLC

So tonight was awesome!! I had the chance to go to the Gateway and Temple Square in Salt Lake City today with Katie, MJ, Melanie, and Jasmin! It was so much fun. We had dinner at Applebee's, after looking forever to find a parking spot, walked around the Gateway, and then took the TRAX down to Temple Square and saw the lights!! So beautiful as always~ I was actually there last week with Sara, Jasmin, Spencer, Charlie, and Brian. But that night was super foggy so it was pretty interesting. Tonight was a clear night though; and very busy!! Hopefully those who aren't members of the Church who were at Temple Square will be willing to listen to the message the missionaries have! Anyway, we came back home to Provo, and now I'm putting pictures up on Facebook while studying as well. It was a pretty good day I'd say. Studying before going to Salt Lake as well. Finals!!! :/
Tomorrow is going to be awesome, too (hopefully)! I get to accompany in the morning, play the violin in the afternoon, and accompany again in the night! (Accompany as in play the piano...just to clarify.) And tomorrow I will officially be 18 and a half! Woo!! I still have a lot more years to go before I start feeling old. But still, I can't believe how fast time seems to be going by.....

Well, I have to get back to the studying, but I just wanted to blog about my day. Once finals are over (next week) it will definitely start feeling like "happy holidays". for now, that's the life of me!!!

I'm Thankful For....

Thanksgiving is always a great time for everyone to tell what they're thankful for. I'm late, but what better way to publicly say what I'm thankful for than on blogger? So there are many reasons why I should be thankful, and here we go with the list! (Hopefully I don't forget anything)

  • I'm so thankful for my parents. Many times in my life, I know Iprobably don't act like I'm thankful to them, but they truly are the best parents in the world. I wouldn't want different parents to have raised me. They taught me so many good habits and life lessons, and they raised me in the Church so well. I owe them soooo much forever and always.
  • My sister (Ginnie) is another person I'm so thankful to have in my life. We've definitely gone through our ups and downs, but I think overall, everything has built up so we can be so close and become not only sisters, butbest friends!! I will stand by her any day, especially when she's the only sibling I've got. She can tolerate my impatience, and that's tough!! I owe her so much, too!!

  • Next, I'm thankful for the great friends I have in my life who have influenced my life for the better. I've had hard times and they've been there to help me out! I really wouldn't be where I am now without them all. Old and new, super close or just acquaintances, people do come into our lives for a reason. Mis amigos de Ogden: I thank you all! There are many of you guys who I've literally grown up with and I'm so glad to haveknown you all. Life would not even be near as great asit has become! :) And those who I've met here in Provo: there are still a ton of you that I know, but not well. Yet there are also those who I've had the chance to get to know well. No matter how close we are, thank you for the opportunity to get to know you!! You're all great examples to me, especially here at BYU, where stress is high haha! Thank you all!!!

  • Next, I'm thankful for music. Oh man oh man, where would I bewithout this amazing creation? I'm even listening to music right now as I type this. Music really is the #1 thing that can influence me very well. And it could describe my life pretty well! I don't even know where to start on how thankful I am to have music in my life. Singing, playing, listening to it while I do things, no matter what's going on in my life, 99% of the time there's some sort of music that's associated with it. Music=

  • I'm also very thankful to be at BYU. Go cougars!!! This schoolis just amazing. Everyone here is so studious and the professors definitely know what they're doing. I feel so privileged to study at this prestigious school. And to major in Physics--Astronomy!! I really am glad that I'm at a university where the church is incorporated in the system as well; it lifts my spirits up for sure. Thank you BYU.
  • I'm also thankful for books and authors. Soundsnerdy, but it's true. I'm so glad that there are those people who can write stories that can take my mind anywhere and make me think freely as I read the book. Books can educate, expand your imagination, and make the impossible possible, which is why they are so great.
  • I could go on forever, but I realize that this is getting lengthy so I will stop with this one. I'm so thankful to the church I belong to and to my Heavenly Father who has given me my life and has blessed me with so many things to be thankful about. Without Him, there would be nothing in life to appreciate. I hope to show my gratefulness to Him through serving others, and being a good person on this Earth.

Be thankful for what you have in your life, for there is no life on this Earth that has nothing to be thankful for. Take a moment and look at your life and see the great things in life. Think positively, keep your chin up, and smile lots!!! Thanks to everyone who is in my life, and for anyone who reads my blogs haha. Love you all~ :)

A Catch Up~

So life has been crazy and I need to remember to blog it all - more for my benefit so I remember what has been going on!!

So let's see.....I haven't really been up to that much.... an epic
moment of my life?
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 1 = AMAZING!!!!
Yeah, it was so worth waiting (literally) all day for it. Loved it so much and I can't wait until July when part 2 comes out. I was super tired the next day, but after a few power naps I was fine :) being a Harry Potter fan pays off, if it's ending this well.

Hmm....Thanksgiving Break occurred!!! .....I think I will blog about that by itself after this one. But it was a good relaxing break....even though i did get kind of sick. But I'm better now!!

So that's really what's been going on...oh I have gone to BYU's basketball games whenever they're home, and they're so much fun!! I love basketball so much. And keeping up with the Utah Jazz!! Hopefully they do well this season!!

Now this fall semester is coming to a close. Finals are next week and studying is ruling my life. Always has been, but even more now. And Ginnie will be graduating after this semester!! Crazy!! After all these years, she's done!! I'm proud of her, she's going to do many great things in her life! :D As for me....it's just started :-/

let's see, might as well tell about today. I went to classes and then I studied all day for my astronomy test I took tonight. Hmm....my day wasn't very eventful I realize now that I'm typing it all out....I did find a new game I enjoy playing on my itouch. And I also had a great time trying to figure out different ways to alter the text on facebook chat with my friend Erick. That wasn't very successful sadly :( but it was still fun!! Hmm....I think that's it.

So in conclusion, I wish everyone in college good luck with finals! And also to everyone to go buy Inception because it's out now and it's an amazing movie!! Until again (which will definitely be soon), adieu, for that's the life of me....
