Blogging with Shel~

So this blog is actually being written because Shel wanted to blog together! So I might as well, since I love blogging and I was going to blog for today anyway. :)

So.....today was pretty good. I found a costume for Halloween, finally! I'm definitely ready for the weekend, it's going to be pretty busy and epic...hopefully. A Halloween party and the sister's house, volunteering for a merit badge powwow thing, and Halloween party at BYU? I believe this sounds like a splendid weekend! :)

Also, I've been writing a paper for American Heritage about the morality of slavery. Well, I guess the immorality of slavery. Definitely not good - by the way, this is all my opinion. I believe slavery is such a horrible thing and I wish it had never happened. I wish everyone would see everyone equally, and not believing other races are better than some. Even the founding fathers said all men were created equal. I'm just glad that slavery doesn't exist anymore. That'd be horrible!!!

I love awkward moments. They're definitely awkward while it happens, but after looking back at it, it's just too funny!

And I love my friends. They definitely are the best. Sister, Ginnie, is the top notch at that. I love her so much. I don't know what I'd do without her. And I'm so glad she's the older one of us two, because I can just go to her with things I need help with. I could go on forever about her.

Next, I love my friends I've known for years. They know me so well and can cheer me up when I'm down. And Shel even came and visited Kenzi and me here at BYU for a weekend! That made me super happy! :) I don't know where I'd be without them...definitely not where I am now.

Next, my roommates, whom I have become close with! Especially Sara. Oh man, she's the best roommate anyone could ask for! She and I get along so well, and she cracks me up too much. And fortunately, she stays up late too! She's bomb :)

Well, I'm planning on ending this weekend with a great halloween. So....Happy Halloween everyone!!!! That's the life of me for now...

Awesome Glowstick Dance~

So my roommates and I did a glowstick dance for our ward talent show a couple weeks ago. I thought of the idea because everyone else was doing the same acts as usual, the typical ones ya know? But it was so awesome! I believe everyone there loved it; it was quite a great success. Especially because we only practiced it for 2 nights and the hour-ish before we were up to do our act. It was so much fun dancing with them though! I love my roommates. :) Anyway, so this video is of us doing the dance; oh, and Katie is missing 'cause she was out of town. This video is also on my facebook and youtube. To find it on youtube, just search up "awesome glowstick dance~" (like the title of this blog haha) and it's about...the 2nd or 3rd one down, by TVXQsjLuver. I just checked and we have 23 views on it! woo! :)

So the dance that starts and ends our act is one that I've known for a few years now, it's from a Korean song that I know (the song is "Tell Me" by the Wondergirls). The stuff in the middle of the dance is all just random things we made up of course. And the song is called "Get It Right" by Y.A.S. It's actually just counting in Arabic (my roommate MJ is majoring in that). Legit. My roommates had to learn and memorize this in 2 days, but they did awesome! I'm proud of them, especially because I had to teach them, and...well...watch me in this video, I can't dance haha!

So here's who is what color:
Orange - Melanie Green - Ja
smin Pink - Sara Blue - Me Yellow - MJ

By the way, before I close, fall is here! So happy! And winter is around the corner which I'm soooo excited for! I REALLY want to go skiing and snowboarding!!! I miss my skis and snowboard :(

Well, again, enjoy the dance! Cause we had fun doing it! :) That's the life of me for now!!

~Pumpkin Carving!!~

So here I am at BYU and for FHE, we decided to carve pumpkins for our activity!!! It was super fun, and I think it was a good time for everyone to get closer to each other. I love our FHE group. We have a great group, we get along so well and have fun!

College is fun stuff! I'm enjoying it lots. Study study study! But I have to find time to relax....and sleep haha!

Oh and I got letters from my missionary friends; one of them sent me pictures too! It's great to hear they're doing so well on their missions.
It's kind of crazy to think that my friends, who are 19/20 are out serving the Lord right now. I'm proud of them all!

Hopefully I continue blogging on a recent basis. I love it lots. But for now, that's all I believe! That's the life of me for now...

here we go again!

So it's been months since I've last posted something, which is quite sad because my summer was a pretty eventful one! I went to Wyoming and then on a cruise to Mexico and then school started! I will have to put pictures up on here somehow...

I'm still getting used to this whole blogging thing. That's always the downfall of getting started into something new, you have to figure it all out and get used to it first. But I'm sure I'll be loving blogger after I get the hang of it!

Let's see....I'll end this blog for now. I will try and get pictures on here sometime soon. And then I will (hopefully) be blogging more from now on, and telling what my college experience is like as of late. Wish me luck!!!
